Who are we?

Victoria Disability Arts Collective is a non-profit society run by and for disabled people!

 

With a commitment to intersectional frameworks, solidarity, and disability justice, we are creating opportunities for disabled people in our communities to explore art, as well as uplifting and providing professional opportunities for disabled artists locally in Victoria and anywhere online in BC.

Our Mission

To provide accessible opportunities for disabled people to participate in various art forms through events and programming

To provide accessible opportunities to engage in and learn about disability justice

To provide disabled artists opportunities to have their work featured in professional projects and provide opportunities to sell their work 

To create community for disabled artists and to advocate alongside our disabled communities

Who can Access
Our Services?

Anyone who identifies as having one or more disabilities can access our services, and all of our services are free to access! Most of our events are hosted locally in Victoria, but anyone in BC can access our online events.

Territory Acknowledgement 

We acknowledge with respect the homelands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on which VDAC operates. VDAC commits to uplifting marginalized voices including Indigenous voices when engaging in art and navigating accessibility.
